The First Chapter Begins: BIPA Unveils Its Inaugural Official Selection

After a long-awaited journey — and through challenges we never anticipated — we are proud to finally share a moment we have been working toward since the very beginning.

The Official Selection of BIPA's First Edition is here.

From hundreds of submissions sent by artists across the globe, these works now stand as the founding voices of Berlin International Pictures Awards. Filmmakers, photographers, and visual storytellers from many countries answered our first call — and their creativity has shaped the very identity of what BIPA is becoming.

To every artist who trusted us with their work: thank you. You believed in a new platform before it had proven itself. You are the reason BIPA exists.

What Comes Next

The final jury evaluation for these selected works will begin soon. Each piece will be reviewed with the care and attention it deserves, and the results of our first edition will be announced here on our official website.

This is only the beginning.

Very soon, we will open the call for our next season — a new chapter, a wider stage, and an even greater celebration of the world of images. Whether you are a filmmaker, a photographer, or a visual artist, there will be a place for your voice at BIPA.
